Investment Team

Our investing team is composed of industry leaders, who oversee a comprehensive portfolio that includes a range of asset classes.

Experience

Christian oversees IMCO’s public equities and credit portfolios. His focus it to create organizational partnerships and source new opportunities to generate long-term value for clients.

With deep experience across the investing spectrum, including oversight for active mandates and nurturing shareholder value through relationship investing, Christian was formerly Managing Director and Head of Relationship Investments at CPPIB. Prior to this, he spent 11 years in the private equity and growth capital industry at Charterhouse Group and Planier Capital. Christian began his career in the Investment Banking division of Salomon Brothers in New York City.

Education

Christian graduated from the MBA program at Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

Experience

Nicole leads IMCO’s private markets area, including the private equity and infrastructure teams. She is a former executive at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan where she held various senior roles. As Vice President of Teachers’ Private Capital, she oversaw externally managed private equity and venture capital fund positions, as well as emerging market co-investment and underwriting activities.

She also led expansion into investing in new sectors. In addition, as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, she was instrumental in establishing the fund’s office in Hong Kong, leading all investment activities in the region. Most recently, Ms. Musicco was Senior Managing Director of Ontario Teachers’ Public Equities group.

Education

Nicole graduated from the HBA and MBA programs at the Richard Ivey School of Business, and from the Bachelor of Science Kinesiology program at Western University.

Experience

Mary is responsible for IMCO’s Infrastructure asset class, which invests in global infrastructure assets through fund relationships and through direct investments. In her role, she participates on the Boards of portfolio companies and Limited Partner Advisory Committees.

Previously, Mary led Infrastructure and Real Estate investing activities at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Prior to the WSIB, Mary was a Vice President with DRI Capital, a Toronto-based private equity fund, and a Principal at a leading consulting firm in the Alternative Investment practice. She also held progressive roles within OMERS Private Equity group, leading the due diligence and underwriting of fund commitments and co-investments.

Education

Mary holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia, a BA in Economics and Politics from Western University, and is a CFA charter holder.

Experience

Glenn is responsible for the Private Debt asset class at IMCO, which consists mostly of high-quality, investment and non-investment-grade, income-bearing products of various maturities that are unavailable in the public market.

Previously, Glenn established the Private Debt strategy for the Ontario Pension Board. His prior experience also includes progressively senior positions in the insurance and banking industry. At Canada Life, Glenn was responsible for originating, underwriting and monitoring private debt investments across a wide variety of industries.

Education

Glenn holds a Business degree from Bishop’s University.

Experience

Tanya leads the Public Markets asset class at IMCO, which focuses on strategy research and implementation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and managing across equities and fixed income asset classes.

Prior to IMCO, Tanya was the Managing Director of Public Assets at the Ontario Pension Board, leading their entry into emerging markets. She has worked with Canadian-based pensions (both defined benefit and defined contributions plans) and endowments, where she oversaw investment research on traditional/alternative asset classes and multi-manager structure design, while leading risk management initiatives.

Education

Tanya holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the same university. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Experience

Sean leads Private Equity at IMCO, which focuses on direct and co-investments in organizations throughout the consumer, healthcare, industrials and TMT sectors.

Prior to IMCO, Sean was Managing Director, Private Equity at the Ontario Pension Board where he established their private equity policy and strategy and developed a successful start-up program. Sean also held a senior position at the University of British Columbia where he managed the endowment and pension assets. Previously, he headed the Vancouver investment practice for a multinational pension and benefits consulting firm.

Education

Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in actuarial mathematics, and research and operations management, from the University of Manitoba. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Experience

Frank is the head of IMCO’s Tactical Asset Allocation, overseeing three discretionary mandates: a global equity market neutral portable alpha strategy; a global long short FX strategy; and a North American Bond Futures Strategy.

Prior to IMCO, Frank was a Portfolio Manager and Global Head of Derivatives Advisory for Investors Group, where he managed two funds with assets under management (AUM) in excess of $3 billion and advised on $50 billion in AUM in total. He also held senior management responsibilities at CIBC where he established and built a multiple derivatives business across asset classes.

Education

Frank holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and undergraduate degrees in both business and economics from York University.

Experience

Brian is responsible for IMCO’s Real Estate asset class which invests directly, and through funds, in domestic and international real estate holdings.

Previously, he was with the Ontario Pension Board where he oversaw their real estate portfolio evolving it from predominantly retail properties to a more diversified and strategically planned group of assets.

Prior to joining OPB, Brian held progressively senior positions in the real estate group at Sears Canada Inc. As Vice President, Real Estate at Sears, Brian was responsible for a portfolio of more than 30 million square feet of retail stores, shopping centres, distribution centres, and office properties.

Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University.
