David Bezic

In his role as Senior Portfolio Manager, Investment Research, David provides intelligence on the key macroeconomic drivers of the Total Portfolio and Capital Markets team’s investment strategies. He also helps IMCO's broader Investment team, clients and other stakeholders meet their objectives by providing research and analysis on “big picture” trends, market cycles and asset allocation.

David brings a practitioner's perspective to these discussions, with more than 20 years of experience as a market economist and investment strategist. He has held positions at several major Canadian financial institutions including RBC Capital Markets, CIBC World Markets and most recently at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. He also has public sector experience, having spent the earlier part of his career at the Ontario Ministry of Finance.

David holds an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, an MA in Economics from Queen's University, a BA in Economics from McMaster University and is a CFA charter holder.
