Tim Formuziewich is Managing Director, Infrastructure. He oversees the global infrastructure investment program that includes direct investments and external funds.
Before joining IMCO in 2019, Tim’s experience included leading international transactions totalling more than $10 billion across infrastructure, renewables, real estate and natural resources.
Tim was previously with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he led over $5 billion of transactions across various geographies and sectors, including CPPIB’s acquisition of a 49% interest in select onshore and offshore renewable power assets in North America and Europe from Enbridge Inc.
He was also a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management. In that role, Tim built teams and led numerous infrastructure and other real asset transactions in Latin America, including the creation of Brookfield’s first institutional agricultural platform and the largest initial public offering in Brazil’s history at the time.
Tim has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
He serves on the board of directors of Compania Logistica de Hidrocarburos (CLH), based in Spain, and the Acadia University Investment Committee. Tim is an experienced corporate director, having held previous board positions with companies in North America, Latin America and Europe.
