IMCO is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Mattina as Vice-President, Portfolio Construction and Chief Economist. Todd will focus on building the firm’s economic outlook and provide in-depth analysis of monetary and financial policy developments in global markets. He will also support the portfolio construction team by identifying key drivers of IMCO clients’ risk and return profiles.

Todd joins IMCO from one of Canada’s leading investment management firms, where he served as Chief Economist and Strategist, Asset Allocation and Alternatives. His 20-year career in economics and research has included senior roles with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including Deputy Division Chief, Fiscal Operations and Senior Economist. Todd also held positions at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and within the federal Ministry of Finance.

Todd holds a B.A. in Economics from Queen’s University, a Master’s in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in Economics (International Macroeconomics & Finance) from Queen’s University.
