IMCO's student internship program is a 4-month paid opportunity running from May to August, designed to support your personal and professional growth.

What is the structure of the student internship program?
The student internship program runs for four months, from May to August. While we support a flexible approach to work, interns are expected to be primarily in-person throughout the program. This ensures you can take full advantage of the experience, from participating in events and networking opportunities to experiencing IMCO’s collaborative culture. Being on-site helps foster meaningful connections and provides a richer understanding of how we work together.
Are internships at IMCO paid?
Yes. All positions in the student internship program are competitively paid. In addition to a base salary, you'll have access to professional development opportunities, networking events, and many of the same programs and activities available to full-time IMCO employees.
Where is the office located?
IMCO's office is located at 16 York Street, at the corner of York and Bremner, in Toronto’s south financial core. It is steps from Union station, easily accessible by public transit.
What kind of work will I be doing?
You'll be contributing to real projects alongside IMCO teams, gaining hands-on experience and building technical skills that matter.
Will I receive training or onboarding?
Yes! IMCO offers a comprehensive training and onboarding program.

Can I apply for multiple openings?
Yes, you are welcome to apply for more than one role that aligns with your interests and qualifications. student internship program postings are typically open for 2–3 weeks, so we encourage you to review opportunities early and apply.
Do I have to be a student? What if I recently graduated?
Our student internship program is open to both current post-secondary students and recent graduates. If you've completed your studies within the past year, you're eligible to apply.
I have an International Student Work Authorization, am I eligible for an internship at IMCO?
To be eligible for an internship at IMCO, you must maintain authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
There are two primary pathways through which international students may be authorized to work in Canada while studying, either through a Co-Op Work Permit or a Study Permit. Both pathways will require additional documentation to confirm eligibility. When applying for an internship at IMCO, please identify that you possess a valid temporary work permit and we will follow up with you outlining the additional documentation that will be required, to help you get organized.
