Chief Client Officer
Sofia Assaf is the Chief Client Officer and is responsible for leading the Client Relationship Management (CRM) function at IMCO.
Providing strategic leadership and oversight of IMCO’s Client Success strategy, including leading the client growth function, Sofia and the CRM team are responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with our clients across the scope of IMCO services and fostering a client-centric tone across the organization. To effectively execute on this mandate, the CRM team partners closely with the Investment, Risk, Operations, Finance and Legal teams to ensure clients receive timely and relevant insights and advisory services to meet their needs and objectives.
Sofia joined IMCO in 2018 and has over 20 years of experience advising and partnering with clients in the institutional investment industry. Prior to IMCO, Sofia was a Senior Investment Consultant and the Director of Client Consulting at a global consulting firm, where she served as lead advisor to large pension and insurance funds, and other institutional clients for over 15 years. Sofia has also previously worked at the Bank of Canada in the Financial Market Analysis and Oversight group.
Sofia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Investments from the University of Toronto. She is a CFA Charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
